Broken power pins

One of the commonest callouts we receive are for broken power pins. Often a power cord is kicked or pulled and the power pin is often broken. Sometimes the pin snaps off the motherboard. Sometimes the motherboard breaks. Usually its a simple case of the pin breaking from the board .

This power pin was broken on a dell laptop. The company telephoned Dell and were told it would cost £380.00 to fix this problem they also needed to send it away .
This is extortionate. We fix these broken power pins for around £110--£150.00 the £150.00 is if the motherboard is cracked and broken. As you can see we still fix these problems for less than half the price of a company repair.
